I was lucky enough to go on a tour of the Djerassi grounds with Sarah, with Skip acting as our tour guide. Most of the lands here are extremely hilly so some of the trails and artwork are hard to get to on foot.
I believe the sculpture below is Mygon by Ron Fondaw.
Sarah Perry, an extraordinary artist and friend. Her sculptures blow my mind, I highly suggest you check out some of her work on Artnet.
A paracosm in burnt out wood.
Green and leafy moss, an acorn, some of nature’s bric a brac.
Turkey tail mushroom, but I think they look like shells or butterfly wings.
Texture of a redwood, burnt, becoming the home for some green moss.
Obviously this a visually rich place. I arrived back to the house to get to work, once again my fingers at the keyboard contemplating, contemplating.
